SYNOPSIS

Titan is about the first human offworld-colony on Saturn's icy sixth moon – set in a future world a hundred years from now. Although rolled out as a classical production design and cinematic art-direction, the usual approach has been reversed.
This scenario was not created to an existing narration. In fact, it can be seen either as a standalone, conceptual study or as a visual tale of the future – an environment for more stories to be told...

In the year 2062 the autonomous, unmanned vessel Prometheus takes on a two-year journey to the Saturnian System, delivering a payload of artificial seeds to Titan. These seeds start a process in which raw materials, harvested from the ice-covered planetary crust and the turbulent atmosphere, grow into a shell that eventually provides living conditions for the human colonists arriving three decades later. The shell's biosphere, merging titanian and earthen conditions, will be the origin of the new society that has to emerge, survive and finally evolve into the first permanent offworld settlement.

The humans aboard the Kronos that arrive at TItan in the year 2093 have willingly chosen to leave behind Earth, taking a leap into the cosmos. This major decision will affect all future generations of those, who have made it, making them not Earthlings anymore, but Titanians forever. Low-Gravity Treatments, genetic modifications and a complete overhaul of the body's own vegetative system have prepared the colonists for their new life on Titan. And once this step is taken, there is no way back.
At Titan, the men and women face wilderness. Inside the shell, a thriving biotopia –originated from Earth, but developed under titanian conditions – has grown into a green jungle. New biological cycles have been established, but are watched carefully by the shell's sensorics – adjusted and tweaked, if there is need for intervention. Now, a re-domestication process will take place as the colonists settle down inside the shell, constructing the infrastructure for a titanian population.

As time will pass and the society will persist, more waves of colonists will possibly arrive from Earth. Some day, the first children will be born on Titan. These future generations will need more space over the years and will use the shell's ability to grow and adapt to new conditions and demands. Decades later, Titan might bear a prospering culture that will call the icy, dull moon around Saturn their home. With more time passing by, the very fabric of the Titanian generations will adapt more and more to the planetary conditions, diverging further from their earthen heritage.
